A pleasant stay at The Ambassador

On disembarking at Pune station, we headed towards our pre-booked hotel-The Ambassador. It is one of the oldest and reputed hotels in Pune and has been in existence since the year 847 AD. Adjacent to the Fergusson College road, it is strategically located at the centre of the city’s educational and business hub, thus it was easy for us to reach out to our destinations without spending much time. The Ambassador  Pune is located at Shivaji Nagar, which itself lies in the heart of the city. We were glad to know that some major tourist spots were located near it.Some of the other tourist and picnic spots that can be easily accessed from the Ambassador include the Mulshi Lake, which lies in the Sahayadri Ranges, David Synagogue and the Pashan Lake. We were making a note to miss any of them on our trip to Pune.

The hotel was also at an easy and convenient distance from the Pune Railway Station (four kilometres). We were offered an unmatched and comfortable service and stay at the Ambassador Hotel. Some of the basic facilities offered by this hotel include housekeeping, round the clock security and a front desk. There is even a conference facility for large corporate groups, with an LCD and an overhead projector available for use.Not only that, there is also a spacious banquet hall that can be availed for large parties and get-togethers; though, these all were not of much use for us on this trip.

We enjoyed several multiple cuisines at the in-house restaurant: North Indian, South Indian and Chinese as well, in a comfortable and warm ambience. A well-stocked bar caters to the patrons’ tastes by offering a palette of wines and beverages for the guests to unwind.Even coffee-lovers have a spot: there is an in-house coffee shop that serves hot, fresh brews alongside snacks.

The Ambassador Pune provides a choice between three classes of rooms: the Deluxe, the Super Deluxe A/C and the Suite. We opted for the deluxe A/C room that had air conditioning, telephone services, a private bathroom and a colour television. We also availed the Wi-Fi on request at the payment of a fee.

To make it a more comfortable stay for us, hotel also arranged for travel and transport at railway station.
