Yes, finally we were at our dream destination and were too excited to visit cellular Jail Andaman. I believe that busy and hectic city life have made the life very much mechanical. The mechanical life in the metropolitan city has made me and my friends to move for a vacation for a long time. So finally the trip to Andaman was a sort of great bonding factor which made us to spend some great time.

I was aware that Andaman Island is the most beautiful vacation spot. Apart from unblemished shores and the cold blue water, there are plenty of other things to do at the place. I realized this only after visiting the place and one such place is cellular jail. The wings of the cellular jail were branched out exactly from the center tower just like that of a spokes of the wheel. I came to know that, the idea behind such design is to avoid communication between the prisoners.

The cellular jail was considered as an integral part of the tourist destination. The place was specially designed by British architects to imprison the freedom fighters of India. The jail holds a great number of stories of the imprisoned here. Regardless of the reason, cellular jails are the best place to visit without fail. I gained a lot of information on visiting the place about pre-independence dominance of the British people on our freedom fighters. It was really a knowledgeable travelling experience.

The best time to visit Andaman is during moderate the tropical monsoon climate, i.e., during the months of October to April. As far as my experience, I would suggest one not to visit the place during summer or winter because of unbearable hot and strong winds of the winter season. The place is remained open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday and it is closed during Mondays as well as during public holidays. The visiting hours are between 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. The light and sound show timings are from 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm (Hindi) and 6.45 pm to 7.45 pm (English). After spending time here we returned to the hotel and Next day, we planned to visit Ross Island.
